Marcus Fabrics is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Berringer to the position of Design Director.
Laura comes to Marcus from the PK Lifestyles/P Kaufmann division of Waverly Fabrics. Here, she directed print production for the main fabric line and for Waverly's Tommy Bahama brand, and served as design director for JoAnn Stores' Home Seasons 45" program. In addition, Laura's previous
positions at Waverly included contemporary, customer-driven design work for leading manufacturers in the areas of accessories and gifts, fashion, and home décor.
She earned her BA in Studio Art at Oberlin College, supplementing her degree with textile design courses at both Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Laura's Fall '09S debut collection for Marcus is AMONG THE FLOWERS, a neutral palette of modern, home décor-inspired
motifs.
