Cutting Guide: For Blocks |
- 4 - Light floral, 6 1/2" squares
- 12 - Dark Floral 6, 1/2" squares
- 96 - Green feather print, 3" squares
- 96 - Red/beige print, 2 1/2" squares
|
 |
| Each of the 16
center blocks requires (1) 6-1/2" square, (4) 3"
squares and (4) 2-1/2" squares. Place a green square in
each corner of the 6-1/2" square, sewing from corner to
corner of the green square on the diagonal. Fold green square at
the stitching with wrong sides together, forming a triangle.
Trim away excess fabric on the underside of the green fabric.
Press. Repeat process with the red squares. Trim after sewing
and pressing the red square in place to reduce bulk at the
corners. |
|
Cutting Guide: For the Sashing |
- 24 - Clamshell fabric rectangles, 2-1/2" x
6-1/2"
- 24 - Green paisley, 2-1/2" squares.
- 12 - Red paisley, 2-1/2" squares
|
| Using
the photo placement as a guide, join rectangles to pieced
blocks. Alternate rectangles and squares as shown in the photo
to create the sashing strips, then join these to the block
strips. |
Borders |
| Cut
the green scenic fabric border 2-1/2" wide. Cut the narrow
stripe border 1" wide. Cut the second border 4-1/2"
wide. Sew borders to quilt. Layer, quilt and bind as desired. |
