YOU’LL NEED:
R13 PANSIES & IVY
Number of strips Pair with the floral fabric squares
7 Green gingham 1316-116D A B B C D E F
5 Purple flower T462-177D A A B C D
4 Green texture T461-165D A B C D
6 Purple gingham 1316-177D A B C D E F
5 Green ivy T460-116D C D E F F
Plus 2 yards for backing
5 White ivy T460-114W C D E E F

Plus ½ yard for seven 2-1/2” wide selvedge-to-selvedge strips for binding.
 
From each 1/8 yard of floral fabric, cut six 5-1/2” squares.
A White ground pansy small 1031-116D
B White ground pansy large 469A-116D
C Lilac ground pansy small 1031-125D
D Lilac ground pansy large 469A-125D
E Dark ground small 1031-177D
F Dark ground pansy large 469A-177D

Batting: 65” square

NOTES: Each of the strips is to be matched to the lettered floral fabrics list (labeled A through F) in the quantities indicated i.e., the purple flower should be joined to two A's (white small pansy) and one each of B, C, and D (white large pansy, lilac small pansy, and lilac large pansy).
Each of the center square floral fabrics is used six times.

CONSTRUCTION:
  1. Cut the 5-1/2” floral fabric squares for the center of the blocks.
  2. Cut the 3” background strips into two 5-1/2” strips and two 10-1/2” strips.
  3. Sew the two 5-1/2” strips to opposite sides of the paired flower square.
  4. Press the seam allowance toward the center square.
  5. Sew the two 10-1/2” strips to the remaining two sides of the square and press to the center.
  6. Arrange the blocks as shown in the photo, rotating every other block.
  7. Join in rows, then join the rows.
  8. Layer the top, batting, and backing. Quilt as desired.
  9. Join the seven 2-1/2” purple textured strips.
  10. Fold in half lengthwise and press. Bind.
