YOU’LL NEED:
2 yards Northbay Fleece Football print
2 yards Northbay Fleece Bright Geometric print
(or your choice of two coordinating Northbay fleece prints)

*NOTE: The “right” and “wrong” sides of many fleece prints are the same and can often be used interchangeably; however, if you are using a fleece print with wording or a directional design, such as our “Football” design, be sure to pay attention to right and wrong sides as noted below.

Instructions:
  1. Trim away all selvedges from both pieces.
  2. Cut 18” from each length of fleece. From each 18” strip, cut an 18” square.
  3. With right sides together*, sew the two fleece squares together on three sides, using ½” seam allowance.) Turn right side out.
  4. Turn raw edges in ½” and stitch across to close the opening. This will be the pillow pocket. Pin pillow pocket to the right side* of one of the 54” x 60” pieces on the 54” edge in the following manner: center piece approximately 1½” below the top edge, with 18” on either side.
  5. Stitch pillow pocket onto fabric on three sides, leaving bottom edge open.
  6. With right sides together*, sew football print to bright geometric print on three sides using ½” seam allowance. Turn right side out.
  7. Turn raw edges in ½”and stitch across to close the opening.
  8. Topstitch around the remaining three sides of blanket, ½” from the edge.
To fold the blanket into a pillow, lay blanket with pocket facing down. Fold in on both sides of pocket and roll up from bottom of blanket. Flip the pocket over the rolled blanket and fluff until the fullness is evenly distributed inside the pocket.
