We're pleased to present a sweet treat for quilters, featuring the new ELLERY collection! Both the fabric and the quilt were designed by QuiltSoup, and the quilt is perfect for our new Spoonfuls charm pack of generous 8 1/2" squares.

YOU’LL NEED:
1 pack QuiltSoup Spoonfuls 8 1/2"Squares
2/3 yd Sashing J531-126D
2/3 yd Red border J511- 111D
1 1/2 yd Pink Border and binding J518-126D
2 3/4 yd Backing J 518-126D
1 3/8 yd Batting

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Diagram ASelect (9) 8 1/2" squares as block backgrounds, patch A. Cut according to diagram A. In addition, cut (16) patch A from sashing fabric.
  1. Diagram BSelect (20) 8 1/2" squares for patches B and C. Cut according to diagram B.
  2. Sashes: Cut (49) 2" x 6 1/2"
  3. Posts: Cut (30) 2" squares from remainders in diagram B.
  4. Red dot borders: Cut (2) 5" x 39 1/2" strips for sides and (2) 5" x 40 1/2" strips for top and bottom borders.
  5. Pink borders: Cut (2) 3 1/2" x 48 1/2" strips for sides and (2) 3 1/2" x 46 1/2" strips for top and bottom borders.
  1. Diagram CPiece blocks according to diagram C. Press to A and press to C.
  2. Sew sashes between blocks in rows. Make 5 rows.
  3. Beginning and ending with a sash, sew sashes and posts into rows. Make 6 rows.
  4. Sew rows together alternating a sashing row and block row.
  5. Sew red dot border to sides first, then top and bottom. Press to red.
  6. Sew pink border to sides first, then top and bottom. Press to pink. Trace scallop onto template plastic and mark scallops on pink border. Begin marking scallops at ends of borders and make adjustments to scallop length at centers. Trim scallops after quilting is complete. Sew binding to quilt starting at the rounded part of scallop. As you reach the valley of the scallop, leave needle down, pivot quilt and sew out of the valley taking care not to pleat the binding. Turn binding to the back and hand stitch in place.
