Recreate Judie's design, and show off your skills for fussy-cutting miniature motifs in her signature small-scale blocks. Here, she blends in a few light backgrounds for contrast against the rich earthy tones of the new STURBRIDGE VILLAGE MINIATURES collection. • The block size can easily be doubled to 6" square if 3" is too small to work through.
• The project can be machine pieced, though Judie's sample is pieced by hand.
• The project show is mainly a basic guide for color and pattern placement.

1. Using the templates provided, cut pieces for the (12) Nine-Patch blocks and the (12) Star blocks.
2. Piece blocks as indicated and join them in an alternating pattern, as shown.
3. Add the border stripe. Add optional outer border if desired.
4. Layer, quilt and bind as desired.
